Bruno Briquet

2023-503 Bruno Briquet portret par Mathias Mellaerts

The spinal column anchored in theater, the moving limbs in contemporary dance, the five senses in the world of transmission and the organs in Laban choreology. Initially an actor, Bruno Briquet introduced himself to the world of contemporary dance through undulations and straight lines. He then moved into the field of pedagogy, in both theater and dance. From deciphering to tracing, he became a movement notator in Labanian systems. He became convinced that all interpretation is rooted in consciousness, and developed an approach to learning by understanding the narrative body.

He trained in theater and pedagogy at the Conservatoire Royal de Mons (Arts2), and in Laban choreology with Rosemary Brandt, Olga Masleinnikova and Angela Loureiro Da Silva. He holds a master's degree in movement notation from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He devotes most of his time to teaching and develops projects within the non-profit organization Mouvance
