Maria Pace

I joined the engraving workshop of the Académie royale de Beaux-Arts de Liège in September 1979 to complete my studies, graduating in June 1983. In September 2007, I returned to the academy, which in the meantime had become the Ecole Supérieure des Arts de la ville de Liège, where I now hold the position of Professor of Printmaking. Thirty years have passed. But what has happened?

Winner of various grants and prizes, my prints can be found in institutional collections in Liège, the Province of Liège, the French Community of Belgium and abroad, as well as in private collections. As a member of various non-profit organizations promoting printmaking, I have also participated with poets in book publications where poetry and printmaking intersect.

My first exhibitions were back in 1980. My engravings have traveled extensively in Belgium, Europe and Canada, and they're still touring the world.
