The pleasure of meeting other musicians and sharing each other's experiences. The curiosity to embark on a process of arrangements (in small or large formations). Propose his style, his "musical personality" while playing the game of welcoming the personality and style of other musicians. The arrangement process: Objectives: to learn the themes, to work out together an arrangement according to a defined line of conduct. We will start from simple themes. Each theme will be a starting point to approach in the arrangement, a musical particularity. We will consider: the interpretation of the theme, the appropriation of the theme, the choice of the "style (s)" of the arrangement, the elaboration of the structure, the writing of counter songs, the work of the rhythm and polyrhythm, the work of the song's mode / tone and harmonic developments, ...
Improvisation / composition
The pleasure of "making sound" freely, of sound texture, of listening, of proposing, of developing, of composing instantly. It is also the occasion for the trainees who wish it to play their own compositions, to have a return of it and according to the possibilities to propose an arrangement. The Stage is open to all instruments. A minimum of 4 years of practice is required (intermediate-advanced level). From 16 years old. Sébastien Taminiau, Violinist, double bass player. Shares his musical activity between teaching and the stage.
He is passionate about encounters of musical styles! He multiplies musical experiences in very varied styles. He has played with the Belgian national orchestra, the Eclisses ensemble (classical music), Taraf de Haidouks (Romania), Aska Kaneko (Japan-Gaia cuatro), Cave Canem! (folk-jazz-rock-compositions), Diab Quintet (compositions by Jonathan De Neck), Com-Tradiçao (Fado-Compositions), Bach to Rock, Les sons des cinés (silent cinema), Sous mes paupières de satin, Raios, Ourobouros, Monsieur Y, Mathieu Thonon (French song), musical performances for young audiences, ... Currently, he teaches violin, improvisation, ensemble music (Rencontres de styles / BAO) as well as rhythm lessons in the academies of Jette, Braine-l'Alleud and Waterloo. He regularly gives ensemble music workshops in Belgium (Neufchâteau, Enghien, Braine-l'Alleud, Borzée, Brussels) and in France.
