How to make "that" groove? Groove is a specificity of African-American music. We find it in funk, soul, hiphop and gospel. How to make sure that, in addition to posing on rhythm (bass, drums), the singer is able to generate it and instill in the audience an irresistible and irrepressible desire to dance? Groove is putting breath and life in the rhythm. This workshop proposes to dig deeper into this question by introspection: - note values in the body - gestures that punctuate syncope - a melody illustrated by "danced" gestures - silences that live and create dynamics and nuances The workshop "The keys of Groove" will also deepen the question of harmony and polyphony, relying on a gospel repertoire.
