Internship progress : During the workshop we will discuss the work of textile materials in volume without limiting ourselves to sewing.
In the first days several techniques will be taught :
The felt is the work of the wool in 3 dimensions, with hot water and soap but also with the needle.
The shibori in 3 dimensions, work of the tissue in volume consisting of fixing by heat permanent folds on textile. (do not hesitate to see pictures on the internet)
We will also discuss the basics of patronage, how to create a simple volume from a pattern, possibly embroidery, the hook for those who want. Each participant will be able to elaborate a personal formal research during the week using these techniques around themes like the notions of interior / exterior, organic, ... playing on contrasts of colors, material to create evocative sculptural objects, stimulating the imagination without ever copying or representing any existing nature.
