Description
Musical improvisation is as old as music itself.
In Western music, it has been lost since the 19th century.
It is found again in the twentieth century with jazz and the blues, of which it is the key element.
In other cultures (Indian, Oriental, African,...) it has remained alive.
During this workshop we will discover its different parameters:
Structures, rhythms, harmony, melody.
The work is always collective, which allows everyone to try and express their creativity.
Without denying the scores, the "ear" approach is favoured.
Polyphony is used as a tool to hear harmony.
