Lucia Anjali, Bharatanatyam dancer-choreographer for 30 years and Iyengar yoga teacher will lead the workshop.
In the morning, yoga warm-ups, chanting and rhythmic recitation exercises will be offered, followed by learning the basic Bharata-Natyam steps: foot strikes, powerful geometrical figures coordinating the different parts of the body.
The afternoon will be devoted to learning choreographed sequences and abhinaya, the expressive part of the dance. A deep relaxation will end the day.
A unique experience that leads to an encounter with a repertoire of sacred movements and sounds, transmitted orally from master to disciple for over two thousand years.
