Description
For nearly half a century, passionate musicians have been interpreting Baroque music with historical research both instrumentally and stylistically.
The course offers an introduction to or an in-depth study of the cello and bass violin of the 17th and 18th centuries.
It will be proposed to learn about the different chords of four- and five-string instruments but also about the different playing positions (standing, procession, etc.)
Group lessons will be offered for a global and specific approach (context, iconography, figures, temperaments, etc.)
Instruments (cellos with 4 and 5 strings and basses) and baroque bows will be made available free of charge to the trainees for the duration of the course.
Level
This course is open to all cellist profiles: amateurs with a few years of modern cello practice, but also to pre-professionals and professionals.
