Description
This course proposes to question the representation of reality through different pictorial and graphic approaches such as blurring, the evocation of light which irradiates the image or on the contrary its absence (immersing oneself in the shadow of a twilight for example ), oppose visible and invisible, enlarge an image, crop or zoom to the extreme... Through the work of color and shape, we will offer a new reading of the subjects treated, oscillating both between their erasure and the attempt to keep their tracks.
We will explore the rendering of transparencies, opacities, superpositions, imprints... through various techniques such as acrylic, ink, colored pencils, pastels, drawing on tracing paper..
During this course, we will be able to rely in particular on the approaches of artists such as Pierre Bonnard, Gerhard Richter, Bernard Plossu, Joseph Sudek, Simon Martin, Xie Lei, Smith, Monet...
