Nicola Andrioli

Nicola Andrioli was born in 1977 in Brindisi (Italy) into a family of musicians. After obtaining a Master's degree in classical piano in Italy, with a particular focus on the repertoire of Maurice Ravel, he turned to jazz and improvisation. He specialized at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris and completed his studies at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles (master's degree in jazz piano and aggregation).

He has studied with (among others): Kevin Hays, Aaron Goldberg, George Cables, Kenny Barron, Barry Harris, Ran Blake, Dave Liebman, Rick Margitza, Archie Sheep, Billy Hart, Enrico Pieranunzi.

He has performed with: Philip Catherine, Toots Thielemans, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Joshua Redman, John Ruocco, Archie Shepp, Bert Joris, Rick Margitza, Richard Galliano, Dino Saluzzi.

His music was composed and arranged by a large instrumental set, from solo piano to symphony orchestra.
