Deprez Olivier

Artist, cartoonist, wood engraver, Olivier Deprez participated in the creation of the editorial collective Fréon (which became Frémok in 2003). He has published several books, including a woodcut adaptation of Franz Kafka's novel "The Castle". He made an animated woodcut film with Adolpho Avril. Since January 2020, together with Roby Comblain, he has been editing the magazine HOLZ, present in numerous institutions including the Royal Library of Holland in The Hague. He is the 2023 winner of the ADAGP artist's book grant with poet Florence Pazzottu. He collaborates regularly with poet and essayist Jan Baetens. In 2024, he published his latest opus, WREK, with éditions Frémok. WREK prints will be exhibited at the MRAC, Sérignan, during the summer of 2024.
