Antoine Lissoir

Antoine Lissoir plays saxophone, clarinet and flute. He is currently active (composition, arrangement, sideman) in "The Blue Mockingbirds", "Super Ska", "Laurent Vigneron and the Po'boys", "Muriel d'Ailleurs", "Juke records Big band" "Sol Chorando". In 2021, he founded his own 6tet under the name "Life is a Joke". Since 2017, he has also been playing for musicals as part of the Candide Orchestra. Most of his projects are represented by Chouette asbl (Booking) and Juke Records (Label). Antoine has been playing music since childhood. Apart from brief stints at the Lemmens Instituut and the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, he mainly taught himself, listening to the likes of Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Django Reinhardt. With ten years of teaching under his belt, this young musician is excited to share his passion for NEW ORLEANS music with you!
