Laurent Vigneron

Biographie

Listening to the records of Louis Armstrong, Art Blakey and Gene Krupa inspired Laurent Vigneron to develop a passion for drums and rhythm. Self-taught, he went on to perfect his skills at the Brussels Royal Conservatory in the jazz and light music section.

He is one of the founding members of the New Orleans jazz group, Big Noise, active from 2008 to 2017 (3 albums released on Igloo Records).

In 2017, he formed his own band, Laurent Vigneron & The Po' Boys. The debut album CIRIBIRIBIN released in 2018 was followed by a second in 2022: "ROCKIN' AROUND".

Since 2016, he has led the Brussels Bayou Orchestra Brass Band on trumpet, an amateur ensemble for all levels, whose aim is to bring New Orleans music to life.
