Némo Camus (1994) is a Brussels-based sound artist and producer.
After researching cinema and sociology at the University of Paris VIII, he turned to sound creation and joined INSAS. His work, rooted in a dialectical approach, moves back and forth between intimate narrative and history, environment and individual, matter and thought, activism and poetry.
Through his radio creations and sound installations, he hybridizes documentary and fiction, voice and field recording, in a desire to work with ever greater subtlety on trace, clue and suggestion.
For visual arts and performance, he collaborates with Pélagie Gbaguidi, On-Trade-Off, Robson Ledesma, Joëlle Sambi and Esther Mugambi. In 2024, he created and directed Dona Lourdès, a choreographic piece based on the story of his grandmother (presented in February 2024 as part of the It Takes a City Festival in Brussels).
His radio creation Honneurs au gibier won the Best Documentary Award at the Brussels Podcast Festival 2023.
He leads radio workshops and works on the links between text and politics within the collective Jef Klak.
