Olivier Cap was born in Namur in 1986. At the age of 9, he began playing accordion with Mr Guy Tillieux, then took private lessons with Mr Claude Podgornik, with whom he also began percussion.
At the age of 12, he became a student of Ms Marie Antoinette Mélotte (accordion) and Mr Thierry Lapierre (percussion) at the Tamines Academy.
A few years later, he also took piano lessons with Fabienne Ghiotto and singing lessons with Danielle Suraci.
After 2 years in Computer Graphics at La Garenne in Charleroi, Olivier enters the Imep (Namur). For 5 years, he studied with Christophe Delporte (accordion), Claude Podgornik (percussion), Jessica Ryckewaert (marimba, vibraphone), Xavier Rogé (drums) and Bernard Grosdos (percussion methodology).
In September 2011, Olivier was invited to perform at the inauguration of the new logo of the Wallonia-Brussels federation at the Brussels City Hall.
He has also worked with José Cura at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie (Liège) in Cavalleria Rusticana on bandoneon.
He currently teaches percussion at the Nivelles and Tamines academies.
