Cabiria Chomel is a radio producer. With a Master's degree in History and Political Science, she then trained in sound creation at the ACSR (Atelier de Création Son et Radiophonique) in Brussels.

In her practice, she is interested in group narratives, more or less tangible communities which sometimes exist only through these choral narratives.

The ability of sound to bring into existence what is barely perceptible.

To what, by way of crossroads, gives account of a multiplicity of worlds.

She notably directed Les mangeurs de hérissons (2014), Les habitués de nuit (2016), L’escamoteur (2017), Des chemins de traverse (2018), 0 de conduit (2020), Par les collines (2020), Comme l’air qui te porte (2022), A trap toi (2022), La fugue et le canon (2023).

Her plays have been widely broadcast as well as selected for numerous festivals, and she received the SCAM Découverte award in 2017 for her documentary entitled Les habitués de nuit.

She also works as an editor for other directors: Le mécano de l’évasion, Le cerveau volé, or Vous avez eu tous les visages.

In addition to producing sound pieces, she regularly leads radio creation workshops with a wide variety of audiences and structures (IPPJ, Cinédit, EQLA, Divercity, La Miroiterie, AAC, MCCS, PDL, COCOF, Graphoui, Radio Panik, l'Atelier du Plateau, École Kourtrajmé, primary and secondary schools, Pierre de Lune).

She was a long-time contributor to Jef klak, a collective magazine of social criticism and literary experimentation. The magazine is accompanied by a CD of sound creation linked to the issue's theme. This is about experimenting with writing and producing with several hands.

he is a member of the radio production company Le Bruit et la fureur and a former director of ASAR (association of radio authors and producers in Belgium).
