Emanuela Lodato is a Sicilian musician and dancer who began her artistic journey in theater. In 2004 she began more in-depth research into traditional music and dances from southern Italy.

She studied percussion with Massimo Laguardia, and traveled across southern Italy to learn dances. In 2006, she began performing (Massimo Laguardia, TrizziRiDonna, Kaiorda, Matrioske...) and teaching in various cultural centers in Italy and abroad (Macedonia, Tunisia, Poland, Belgium).

Emanuela also has extensive experience working with children: as a theater, dance and music facilitator in Italian and Belgian cultural centers and schools, and as an actress and musician in shows for children (such as “La nuit du Coucou” in 2013, or “Habanera” by Muzik-e-Motion Cie, 2017).

She currently lives in Brussels, where she continues her activities as a musician in the Nisia project and other projects, dancer, traditional percussion teacher, music teacher for children and adults, actress, and collaborates with "La Vita è Belga" and Muzik-e-Motion asbl to organize workshops, concerts and cultural events.
