Hélène Picard is a graduate of the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
She has won several prizes and residencies, including the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid and the ISCP in New York. Her work mainly resvolves arround the connection between painting and clothing, a project inaugurated at Madrid's Costume Museum in 2007.
From then on, her practice has been both plastic and performative. Currently residing in Brussels, she has been exploring the physical, emotional and symbolic impact of color in textiles, paint and vegetable dyes since her research fellowship at TAMAT in Tournai in 2019.
