Angel Ramos Sanchez

Ramos Sanchez Angel

In 1986, Angel Ramos Sanchez created his first clown show with a Liège actor: 'Se Busca' (we are looking for ourselves), which addresses the theme of second generation Spanish immigrants - from whom he comes - and founded the same theater company. name: Se Busca Theater. At 33, he took the plunge and became a professional actor. He is passionate about creating what he calls his stage persona. Revealed to the public in 1988, at the 8th International Laughter Festival of Rochefort, in Belgium, where he won the 1st Jury Prize and the Public Prize, he began a busy career (more than 2000 performances) with his first creation: ' Peppe, in the shadow of the limelight' since renamed "En attendant Julio.." In 1990, he won the First Prize for Declamation at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Liège, followed, in 1991, by the First Prize for Art Oratory with the greatest distinction. He completed his training in various theater techniques: vocal training, body techniques, acrobatics, mime, improvisation, commedia dell'arte, mask, clown, magic... While continuing to wait for Julio, Angel created other shows: ' Prés Verts', based on texts by Jacques Prévert, 'El Cid', revised and corrected version of Le Cid by Corneille, 'Magic Peppe', where zany magic makes fun of 'real' magic, 'Dali, it' is me..., where he plays the delusional Salvador Dali, "Who's next?", which addresses the subject of manipulation by television, "Angel, the fallen angel", everything you always wanted to know about angels without ever daring to ask, "L'Arnaque", a duo with Luc Apers, a hilarious story where you are introduced to scam techniques, "20 years on stage" anniversary show created for the occasion and finally "Que happiness!”, a sort of Best Of as the French say, finally “Hidalgo”.

He is invited to numerous festivals, including: Rire et Humor in Saint-Gervais and the Vienna Humor Festival, in France, Humorologie in Marke, in Belgium, Köln Comedy Festival in Cologne, Germany, Aroser Humor-Festival in Arosa, Switzerland, Cabarena in Bolzano, Italy, Summer Festival in Guimaraes, Portugal, Quebec International Summer Festival and the prestigious 'Juste pour Rire' in Montreal, Canada. It was on display at the Caveau de la République (Paris) for 10 years. More recently, he set out to conquer new continents: he had the pleasure of playing in particular at the Kennedy Center (Washington) in the United States and in Asunción in Paraguay. Appointed professor of interpretation at the École Supérieure du Cirque de Bruxelles in 2005, he now divides his time between performing and teaching.
