Quentin Chaveriat

2023-558 Quentin Chaveriat

Quentin Chaveriat is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. After studying art history, he enrolled in Frédéric Dussenne's drama class at the Conservatoire de Mons. He completed his training by going to Japan to learn butoh from master Seiji Tanaka.

IHe has since produced his own shows and performances as part of the Sombre Compagnie, including "Memento : la pluie", which he has presented beyond Belgium's borders (the Netherlands, Japan, Vietnam...), and "La tentation de Saint-Antoine" in collaboration with Belgium's Royal Museums of Fine Arts. He also portrays the character Memento, a strange creature who haunts queer cabarets.

Theatrically speaking, he works as an actor (directed by Peggy Thomas, Fabrice Murgia, Noémie Carcaud, Clément Thirion, or with the Ravie collective) and assistant director. He also works as a dancer with the Mossoux-Bonté company, as well as with t.r.a.n.s.i.t.s.c.a.p.e.

Since January 2023, he and Ravie have been running the Théâtre de la Vie in Brussels. A jack-of-all-trades with an insatiable curiosity, he puts up a smoke screen, combining theater, dance and music in a variety of projects.
