Cécile Evrot

A trained pianist, her encounter with flamenco at the age of fifteen was a revelation. She instinctively turned towards singing, which she initially studied on her own for several years.

She then trained in Spain with José Mendez (Jerez) and Juan José Amador (Sevilla), and gained her experience of supporting baile with Carmen Ledesma and Pilar Montoya "La Faraona".

During a stay in Seville in 2014, she met the legendary cantaor Juan Peña El Lebrijano who would become her maestro and with whom she would form a very strong relationship which still nourishes her approach to singing today.

An intuitive and personal cantaora, Cécile Evrot now works alongside leading artists on the French and European flamenco scene.

She has also been teaching in various associations for several years and offers a sensitive and relaxed approach to cante, with pleasure and respect for the fundamental values of flamenco.
