Emanuela Lodato

Emanuela Lodato est une musicienne et danseuse sicilienne qui a commencé son parcours artistique en théâtre. En 2004 elle démarre une recherche plus approfondie sur les musiques et les danses traditionnelles du Sud de l’Italie. Elle étudie les percussions avec Massimo Laguardia, et voyage à travers le Sud Italie pour apprendre les danses. En 2006 lance son activité de concerts (Massimo Laguardia, TrizziRiDonna, Kaiorda, Matrioske…) et d’enseignement dans divers centres culturels en Italie et à l’étranger (Macédoine, Tunisie, Pologne, Belgique). Emanuela à également une longue expérience de travail avec les enfants : comme animatrice de théâtre, danse et musique dans des centres culturels et écoles italiennes et belges, et comme comédienne et musicienne dans des spectacles pour le petits (comme “La nuit du Coucou” en 2013, ou “Habanera » de Muzik-e-Motion Cie, 2017). Actuellement, elle vit à Bruxelles où elle continue son activité de musicienne dans le duo Nisia et dans d’autres projets, danseuse, prof de percussions traditionnelles, animatrice d’ateliers musicaux pour enfants et adultes, comédienne, et elle collabore avec « La Vita è Belga » et Muzik-e-Motion asbl pour l’organisation de stages, concerts et événements culturels.

Emanuela Lodato is een Siciliaanse muzikant en danseres die haar artistieke carrière begon in het theater. In 2004 begon ze met een meer diepgaand onderzoek naar muziek en traditionele dansen in Zuid-Italië. Ze studeert percussie bij Massimo Laguardia en reist door Zuid-Italië om dansen te leren. In 2006 lanceerde hij zijn concertactiviteit (Massimo Laguardia, TrizziRiDonna, Kaiorda, Matrioske …) en doceerde hij in verschillende culturele centra in Italië en daarbuiten (Macedonië, Tunesië, Polen, België). Emanuela heeft ook een lange ervaring met het werken met kinderen: als animator van theater, dans en muziek in culturele centra en Italiaanse en Belgische scholen, en als actrice en muzikant op shows voor de kleintjes (zoals “La nuit du Coucou” in 2013, of “Habanera”, Compagnie Muzik-e- Motion, 2017). Momenteel woont ze in Brussel, waar ze haar activiteit als muzikant voortzet in het duo Nisia maar ook met andere projecten, danser, docent traditionele percussie, animator van muzikale workshops voor kinderen en volwassenen, actrice, en zij werkt samen met “La Vita è Belga” voor de organisatie van stages, concerten en culturele evenementen.

Emanuela Lodato is a Sicilian musician and dancer who began her artistic career in theater. In 2004 she began a more in-depth research on music and traditional dances in southern Italy.
