Isabelle Vernier

More than twenty years ago, thanks to Paul Beys, a man passionate about Latin calligraphy, I was introduced to this meditative art which invites one to surpass oneself while questioning the historical ins and outs of a writing.

One thing led to another, training courses followed, the passion grew and my teacher status opened up new horizons.

With calm and serene pleasure, I still devote myself to the study, deciphering and analysis of old documents, a source of work imbued with more contemporary techniques. Indeed, quality of line, ligatures, counter-forms, layouts, bindings... are as many avenues open to self-discipline as to creativity.
