Description
A comprehensive overview of styles and techniques not traditionally taught on the cello. The workshop will cover chopping, fingerpicking, chord systems, bowed and strummed accompaniment, bass work, and some melody learning (primarily Americana and Balkan).
The workshop aims to introduce cellists to the diverse tools and options available to them when working outside the classical world, with a focus on folk and jazz music. A degree of improvisation will also be explored.
