In this workshop you will learn to play Cuban music. It covers the most interesting and well-known styles such as salsa, son cubano, rumba, mambo, cha cha cha, danzon, timba, Yoruba music, bolero, songo, mozambique, pestle among others.

Through this course we will discover different ways of expressing ourselves through rhythm and singing. We use our body as an instrument and approach songs, rhythms and body percussion techniques from different cultures. All in a group energy that we will tame together as the days go by!

Individual or semi-group lessons as well as ensemble lessons every day (clarinet ensemble, quartets, trios, etc.)

This course invites you to discover this artistic discipline which consists in making people believe that everything is prepared in advance when in fact it is not. Different facets will be explored to help you grasp the basics of this practice or reinforce the skills you have already acquired.

In the context of group work, improvisation is approached via three complementary axes: tools for modal improvisation, for tonal improvisation and for free improvisation. The goal is to have the most universal approach possible to music in order to allow everyone to express themselves freely in all musical circumstances.
