Singing is like morning dew, it refreshes the traveler's path.

The bendir (also douf, mizhar...) is a frame drum without rattles. From the Maghreb to India, it is found in different forms and rhythmic traditions.

Music is a natural act. Making music together isn't just for specialists. As such, everyone will find their place in the orchestra: musicians and tinkerers, poets and engineers, tourists and teachers, daydreamers and curious ears…

From the meyhane of Istanbul to the shepherd songs of the Anatolian yaylas, this workshop offers an immersion in the folk music and songs of Turkey. Through various repertoires, we will explore modes (makams), microtonality, rhythms, and ways of interpreting this music in an ensemble practice, with instruments and voices.

The students will explore together through play and experimentation the different elements specific to Django's music and to improvisation more generally: sound, time, harmony, repertoire, accompaniment, listening, finding one's place in a group.

The course focuses on practicing Afro-Cuban rhythms. Body percussion plays an important role in the course. We also use percussion instruments as an aid in learning rhythm.

The course will focus on developing musical voice and expression, with sessions dedicated to whistle technique, tone, articulation and phrasing, as well as approaches to rhythm, ornamentation and lift. Particular attention will be paid to musicality rather than mechanics, and to how technique serves the feeling, form and intention within a piece.

L’atelier EXPERIENCE est une démarche d’expérimentation qui aboutit à un travail personnel. Le cinéma expérimental est fait de recherches intimes et d’exploration de l’image et du son. Nous travaillerons dans l’atelier à partir de photographies, de vidéos, d’enregistrements et d’archives sonores.

Le sonore comme medium de récit, de création, de transmission. Durant cette semaine nous allons apprendre les bases de la prise de son et du montage afin de créer des récits de tout type et expérimenter l’écriture par le sonore.

Un acteur confronté à un tournage de film, court-métrage, long métrage, série ou téléfilm, peut être surpris, voire déstabilisé, par la différence des techniques de jeu au cinéma et au théâtre.

Ce stage d’écriture dramatique propose une immersion dans le lieu où il se déroule. Il alternera des temps d’écriture personnelle, des moments de recherche et d’exploration, des rencontres et interviews, ainsi que des temps de travail collectif et choral.
