Biography

Pascal Mitsuru Guéran is an actor - storyteller - puppeteer.

He was trained in speech arts at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, and in theater at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion.

He holds a Master's degree in Theater Studies from the University of Louvain.

He also followed training in improvisation (with Herbert Roland), mime (with Fujio Ishimaru), the art of storytelling (with Michel Hindenoch, Jihad Darwiche, Lucien Gourong...), puppetry ( Théâtre des Quatres Mains), and clowning (Guy Ramet, Vincent Rouch, Cie Bataclown, Marcelle Plumat...).

As an actor, he has performed at the Théâtre Royal du Parc, at the Atelier Théâtral de Louvain-la-Neuve, at the Théâtre Varia...

For the past twenty years, he has worked mainly as a storyteller, touring internationally (Quebec, Switzerland, Brazil, New Caledonia, Poland, Romania...).

As a storyteller, he mainly explores the Japanese storytelling tradition, seeking to reconnect with his Japanese roots (Pascal Mitsuru Guéran is Belgian-Japanese and has taken a keen interest in the culture of the "Land of the Rising Sun", through the martial arts (aikido, iaido) and Zen philosophy.

He is also a puppeteer, and is currently working in collaboration with Compagnie Zanni.
