Description
How can free improvisation help us surpass ourselves?
This tool is primarily used to discover personal paths to express one's creativity with one's instrument/voice.
Free improvisation practiced first alone, then quickly in groups of different sizes, confronts us fairly quickly with what we are or what we want to be, but within the security of a simply musical framework.
The search for a certain individual and then collective beauty will be our guide, through the development of deep and attentive listening to one's own sound, and that of others.
We will also discover how to simply move towards collective compositions via the same method, and the links and differences existing between composition and creation.
Finally, we will see what this can bring to the interpretation of existing music.
A daily program will also address work on rhythmic sensations, via body warm-ups allowing connections to be made between instrumental practice, bodily sensations and sensations of rhythm.
Beyond music, this practice can:
- Bring self-confidence
- Help discover/assert your inner voice
- Help develop empathy and the ability to listen to others
- Foster group work and collaboration
All this while constantly seeking the pleasure linked to musical interpretation.
