Description
The oboe/English horn course is given both individually and collectively. The elements worked on are as follows:
- The development of the repertoire: individual work on the musical text, setting up the repertoire using adapted tools and a working method.
- Technique, sound and intonation: collective work on the technical parameters of
the instrument through scales, arpeggios and technical exercises.
- Ensemble playing: putting into practice the elements listed above through
the discovery of the chamber music repertoire.
- Reed management: “tips and tricks” on mounting and scraping the reed.
- Stage management: development of a performance as a whole and work on stress
management.
Required level
Have at least 2 years of instrumental practice of the oboe.
Equipment required
- Bring the last repertoire worked on.
- Bring the equipment relating to the reeds that you have (reeds, thread, knife,
plate, etc.)
