Description

Swing and the ukulele first “boomed” in the United States in the 1920s, and it feels like these charming songs and this surprisingly versatile little instrument were truly made for each other!

At the heart of the course is mastering a rhythmic and dynamic accompaniment, the essential backbone of every swing piece. Once this foundation is laid, we’ll add a variety of techniques, playful tricks, and flourishes for both hands, taking your ukulele playing to the next level. All set to classic tunes from the early 20th century, which we’ll play and, of course, sing together.

The course is designed to suit the skill level of the participants, welcoming anyone who enjoys the music of this particular era and wants to explore new facets of their ukulele playing. However, it is not suitable for complete beginners.
