Before registering, please read this document carefully, which presents the general operation of our music courses: Informations à savoir sur cette semaine d'ateliers
Description
Musical improvisation is as old as music.
The musicians who made the history of blues, jazz, etc. had neither methods nor lessons.
In their own way, during this course you will experience the “by Ear” method: listen attentively, then sing and then play.
An intuitive approach to improvisation which allows you to discover the different components of a piece of music, whether it is a song, a jazz standard or a classical piece: rhythm, structure, melody and harmony; and then improvise on it.
Rhythm will be approached through bodily sensations.
However, you will also discover the harmonic system, a tool that allows you to sharpen your listening skills.
This way you will learn to listen and interact with the other musicians in the ensemble.
Required level
Open to all musicians aged 16 and over (unless expressly requested). It is better to have a few years of musical practice and some theoretical knowledge.
Equipment required
Everyone brings their own instrument and the means to amplify it slightly
