Description
In the insect world, every tiny creature becomes an actor. The shimmering wings of butterflies paint pictures in the sky, ants trace subterranean choreographies, and ladybugs punctuate the scene with red and black dots. Observing an insect is like following theatrical movements, miniature gestures where each antenna captures the light, each wingbeat creates movement, each step a rhythm. Between visual arts and theater, insects invite us to play with form, gesture, and color, to transform a breath of life into performance, to work with sounds, and to reveal the poetry hidden in the infinitely small. Here, nature becomes canvas and stage, and imagination, the paintbrush.
To guide you, we will have the following skills:
From Leslie, with everything that is built, colored, drawn, kneaded, and manipulated… Each day, we will explore different visual arts techniques.
From Tania, with everything that is spoken, sung, written, danced, moved, and emotional… Each day, we will explore vocal techniques (singing is life), movement techniques (moving is discovering space), articulation techniques (tongue twisters are communication), and character development techniques (transforming is self-discovery…).
All of this will be gathered, sorted, and combined to become a performance for an audience on Saturday morning: a sharing of our adventures and discoveries, in a spirit of kindness and joy.

A blanket or yoga mat (so you can lie on the floor)
And to conclude, a little look back at our July 2025 workshop: every gesture, every color, every movement we explored during the week will be captured and shared, so the wonder continues even after the show.
