Before completing your registration, we invite you to read the following:

informations relatives aux ateliers de musique organisés lors de la première semaine.

Description

If you're interested in learning the basics of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software, and you're having trouble recording and mixing your tracks, this workshop is for you!

We'll explore how a digital audio workstation (DAW) works.

Note:

It's impossible to see all the programs… the list is limited to Logic, Live, Pro Tools… possibly Cubase.

The workshop day is divided into two parts:

The morning is dedicated to theory, always based on practical application:

  • Sound parameters
  • How to connect and record with a microphone
  • Effects (reverb/delay) and processors (compressors/gates)
  • The basics of mixing
  • The basics of mastering

In the afternoon, everyone works on their own computer… Collaboration between trainees is encouraged.

In principle, by the end of the week you will be able to use your equipment properly.

Level

Beginners

Equipement

  • A computer
  • A sound card
  • Audio software (Logic, Live, Pro Tools)
  • Headphones
  • Your musical instrument (no drums… thank you)
