Description

Are characters haunting you or knocking at your door? Do stories live inside you? Would you like to give them form, a space?

This illustration course will guide you through your storytelling experiences.

Through various activities, we will explore several aspects of story creation: the relationship between text and image, storyboarding and layout, the components of an image (framing, point of view, scale, rhythm, space), different techniques, and more.

We will alternate and combine observational drawing exercises (sketching attitudes, expressions, objects, textures, small scenes, etc.) and imagination exercises (various sources: texts, photos, sounds, themes, etc.) using a variety of techniques (pencils, watercolours, Indian ink, acrylics, pastels, collage, , etc.) and drawing on references in illustration as well as in the broader field of art.

These will serve as incentives, and the idea is for each participant to take ownership of the proposals in a personal way in order to gradually arrive at a unique production.
