Description

Poetic posters, leaflets, postcards – all these written media require specific work on words and letters, in the graphic sense of the term. Using wooden or lead typefaces, portable printing presses, ink and ink rollers, magazines and plenty of scissors and glue sticks, participants will draw on the material reality of writing to achieve its poetic fulfilment.

Typoésie is the jubilant marriage of typography and poetry; we will exploit the possibilities of layout, let ourselves be carried away by the physical beauty of words, and create collages whose visual impact will open the way to the discovery of unexpected territories of ideas.

The course will be supervised by Pascal Leclercq, poet, typographer, collagist and publisher (Boustro magazine), author of a dozen books published in Belgium and France.
