Let's dive into the heart of New Orleans from the 1900s to the present day.

By learning a traditional and varied repertoire, we will develop the melodic, harmonic and rhythmic aspects of this music.

We will also have the opportunity to separate the work between melodists and rhythm players so that everyone can find his or her place in the group and explore the role and possibilities of his or her instrument.

Choreographer and dance teacher Boukson SERE offers a course centered on traditional West African dances, practiced as they are, but also modified and enriched by Afro-contemporary dance, his chosen field.

Discover Walloon music, with Walloon dance tunes. Link with the Walloon dance workshop given by Aurélie Giet: learn to play for dance, learn to dance the music you play. Work on ensemble playing, second voice, accompaniment and work on the impulses of the dance music.

Through this course, we will address the different essential aspects and role of the double bass and electric bass in traditional and "world" music and we will see how to personalize our approach while respecting the role or function expected for ideal accompaniment. Basic and advanced techniques, harmony, rhythm and groove will be covered.

Essential "Compás" work with the possibility of tackling all the rhythmic structures specific to flamenco. Understand the basics needed for singing and dancing accompaniment.

During this course, we'll work together on compas (flamenco rhythm), breath management, voice placement and the articulation of singing with guitar and dance.

This course is intended for amateur and professional musicians in order to acquire instrumental techniques typical of TANGO and Argentinian and Latin American FOLKLORE. Thus allowing them to improve the quality of their playing regardless of the music they play.

During this week-long workshop, we are going to work on the various aspects of forró in a fun and friendly way. We'll be looking at figures and movement variations, as well as musicality, communication and interaction between dance partners, body technique, cultural aspects and much more!
