Aurora Cavazzin

CAVAZZIN Aurora

Aurora started dancing at the age of 6 in Turin, Italy. She has practiced classical and contemporary dance, hip hop, jazz dance and, since 2011, traditional dances. In 2016 she moved to Lyon to become a contemporary dancer, joining the Hallet Eghayan company's 2-year professional training cycle. Ten years ago, she began accompanying dance teachers in their work, and gradually found herself teaching. In 2018 she graduated in community dance and dance transmission in Turin. Meanwhile, since 2016, she has begun teaching balfolk and traditional dances in both weekly classes and workshops throughout Europe, including international bal folk festivals (Reno Folk Festival in Bologna, PBI in Prague, Funambals in Lyon, Dyonisos in Clermont Ferrand, Cenizas in Spain, Krakow, Turin...). Her work is predominantly based on the transmission of elements which, according to her experience in contemporary dance, can simplify our learning and enrich our way of dancing folk. All the while keeping tradition in mind.
