Laurianne Seux (1977, Fr) lives and works in Brussels. She holds a Master's degree in art from the Marseille-Méditerranée School of Art and Design, and a diploma of higher secondary education in plastic, visual and spatial arts from ERG- SAINT-LUC in 2017.

Currently a Drawing teacher (since 2015) at the Braine-l'Alleud School of the Arts as well as a teacher of a course "faire l'accrochage, conversation avec l'espace" at the Wavre School of the Arts (since 2019). She has encountered other venues as artist and teacher since 2017: Les ateliers d'art contemporain (Brussels), workshop at the Molenbeek arts academy, assistant at L'ENSAV La Cambre, the Brabant Wallon cultural center, high school intervention in La Rochelle...

She has exhibited in various venues (La serre des Beaux-arts de St Étienne, Galerie des Beaux-arts de Marseille, Atelier Alain Lebras (Nantes), Mort et vif (Brussels), Dexia art center (Brussels) Centre d'art contemporain la Châtaigneraie (Flémalle), La Sucrerie (Wavre), Latelier1070 (Brussels).

She has also obtained several creative residencies in order to explore her plastic work on the contemporary dance scene (La Coursive - Scène Nationale (La Rochelle), “Tanzhaus NRW/13” (Cologne), Bains connective (Brussels) etc.) .

Focusing on drawing and sculpture, Laurianne Seux's multidisciplinary practice reflects on the traces that remain in the landscape and in collective memory. Using archive images of bunker plans, she has developed a series of sculptures. "In a single gesture, an ambiguous cohabitation physically projects the observer into the sculpture, while placing him beyond a distance that only his gaze can cross." Extract from a text on Laurianne Seux's work written by Antoine Wang.

Human activity leaves traces and imprints on a territory. Drawing on a variety of sources, her work is articulated with measuring objects and washes. Notions of archaeology and burial are invoked.

She also develops proposals for in situ interventions as part of projects for public institutions.
