Description
The week will be devoted to exploring one's own dance, through collective and individual experimentation. Tools derived from Laban choreological movement analysis and notation will be provided to help participants define, deepen, question and enrich their own choreology, breaking it down for better composition. We will question our creative content to refine our practices.
To nourish our dance, we will observe its components and structures, and draw on other choreographic languages that inspire us.
Required level
This workshop is aimed at all those with a regular practice of interpretive movement (theater and/or dance) who are keen to develop their understanding of movement through notation.
Equipment required
- An outfit in which to move with ease
- Grey pencils, erasers
- A notebook for taking notes (preferably squared)
