Description

During this course, we will acquire physical training to awaken and energize all parts of the body and to be consciously available. We will cover the technical basics of boxing and the appropriate vocabulary to make it common.

Through individual and group acting exercises (breathing, relaxation, emotions, imagination...), I will start the week with a play that fully engages the body and the spoken word. Following the cast, each trainee will be asked to memorize his or her text, create a body choreography for a monologue, work on synchronicity for a dialogue, and experiment with the resonance of words in an organic way, using the technique of boxing.

How do you let yourself be carried away by the spontaneity of a gesture? How is my presence on the stage nourished by a physical dynamic and instills the urgency to say? What is my raw acting poetry?

The aim is to combine the power of the spoken word with the precision of the gesture. Familiarize yourself with your text, combine verbal technique with gestural technique, give rhythm to your speech by breathing in full effort, awaken the vitality of being there with yourself and others.

Technically acquiring the basics of boxing will create baggage for your own approach to interpretation. A search to undertake to create its intensity, its poetry and its spontaneity.

At the end of the week, we will present a short form of this project in which the trainees will have experimented with the various tools of theater and boxing. It will be a collective construction.
