Description

An actor faced with filming a film, short film, feature film, series or television film, may be surprised, or even destabilized, by the difference in acting techniques between cinema and theater.

The techniques used in cinema (camera presence, use of sound, fragmentation of acting, etc.) imply an “adaptation” of his work on the part of the actor.

The aim of this course is to discover and put into practice the basic techniques of acting in front of the camera.

Course schedule :

  • Preparing for casting, an important step in working for the cinema.
  • Discovering your image and voice. It's important to be aware of what you sound like on screen, as this will serve as the basis for your acting.
  • Exercises based on the expression of emotions based on each person's personality. These exercises are linked to techniques specific to acting in front of the camera: constraints linked to precise framing, division of the game, use of sound, concentration management, etc.
  • Approach to different work scenarios: game with or without text, game with or without partner, improvisation, etc.

These exercises are then filmed, viewed and commented on.

Required level

It is aimed at amateur and professional actors who have never worked in front of a camera before.
