Description
What “grooves” in the African-American repertoire? How do you get it to groove?
Groove is the body singing and the voice dancing, it's the verticality of rhythm, from head to toe....
Music and the sound of the voice must inevitably give rise to movement in the body. In the morning, we'll explore all these questions.
In the afternoon, we'll be rehearsing songs that we'll perform in concert in the middle of the week. I'll be doing a concert at Neufchâteau church, probably on Wednesday evening, and you'll finish the concert with me in choir formation.
It's a way for me to show you a direct field of application for the different keys I'm going to give you...
Groove is a source of infinite joy, and the gospel repertoire we'll be performing is a true connection of heart and soul.
