Description

The course offers a methodical approach based on several aspects of character composition:

Corporality, dynamics, voice, relationship to space, relationship to others, to the group.

The technique also calls upon "models of being" (cultural, functions or professions, "styles" etc.), their particular behaviors.

Other composition "tools" will also be mentioned or discussed, such as work on the deadly sins or jesters... (photos). We will also approach composition by observation. We will experience these sketched characters in short scenes and build, from that, the opposite character...

This work, very concrete and direct, does not start from the psychological analysis of the character but from what it induces in the body and the behavior of the latter.

Required level

The internship is reserved for people who already have a theatrical experience (amateurs, professionals, drama students.)

Exceptionally, we can accept one or the other person without experience (as long as they are very motivated and enthusiastic) after a short discussion which can be done by telephone.

Equipment required

A flexible outfit that keeps the actor's mobility intact.
