Description
In the first half of the 15th century, a “new” oil painting was born in Flanders, attributed to the Van Eyck brothers, painters and alchemists. Their technique is based on the alternation and different properties of fatty layers and lean layers. By submitting to the products imposed on him, the painter loses his pleasure in painting and distorts his spiritual creation.
This mixed technique approach course will allow you to reconnect with the raw material (support, pigment, binder) in order to escape the technical difficulties linked to the industrialization of these products modified in a way contrary to the interests of the painter.
This knowledge should allow for openness to any technique and ease of understanding when examining any new material.
Production of a copy or detail based on a good quality color reproduction.
