Description
During the workshop, we will explore two ways (among a multitude) of practicing the Journal, whether creative, artistic, intimate or expressive.
The Creative Journal® is a method developed by Anne-Marie Jobin. It is a renewed way of keeping a personal diary that mixes drawing, writing and collage... The Creative Journal® will be the basic tool allowing us to access our inner resources, our creativity, our inspiration.
Every morning of the week, we will explore our imagination, we will practice different exercises to free our creativity and warm up.
The afternoon will be dedicated to creating an artist's journal: while experimenting with it, you will develop the definition and process of this journal yourself: How to start an Artist's Journal? What can be the common thread? What techniques should be used? Should we show it or not?
We will rely on what is present for each person: feelings, desires, ideas, materials, places and moments of life to create an intimate and experimental journal, unique and abundant.
Purpose:
To achieve the practice of the Creative Journal® as a method of releasing creativity and
exploring our imagination.
To create one or more artist journals, i.e. notebooks of technical experimentation and expression whose common thread will be freely chosen each day.
The Creative Journal® and the artist journal will a priori be 2 distinct objects: one will serve as a support for a practice and guided exercises without aesthetic necessity, the other will be the place of research and plastic expressions articulated around a personal and daily common thread.
