Before completing your registration, we invite you to read the following:
informations relatives aux ateliers de musique organisés lors de la première semaine.
Description
For the 10th year, Toine Thys (saxophone) is leading the Jazz Groove Electro workshop. Together with a team of experienced musicians, Toine develops a repertoire during the workshop (mornings and afternoons). The focus is on groove, incorporating elements of electronic music alongside traditional instruments.
The stylistic direction and repertoire are defined collaboratively during the week, according to each participant's preferences. This workshop is also open to (partially) pre-existing groups or musicians bringing their own compositions. The week will culminate in a final concert.
Level
All types of traditional instruments (guitar, bass/double bass, drums, vocals, piano/keyboards, brass, percussion, etc.) are welcome, as are those who work with computers (Ableton, Reason, etc.).
A basic knowledge of one's instrument is required: a minimum of 4 years of practice. Drummers must be proficient and experienced (able to play to a click track).
Registration for this workshop must be verified by the instructors before being confirmed. Applicants are encouraged to submit audio or video links to showcase their music.
Equipment
Trainees should bring their own instruments (and amps if needed), and/or computers. Given the location of the workshop, it's best to bring everything (even too much) you might need.
