Immerse yourself in the Flamenco universe for 1 week: Movements, taconeos, choreographies with Flamenco musicians and singers; preparation for a Flamenco concert.

Together, students will play and experiment with the various elements of Django's music and improvisation in general: sound, time, harmony, repertoire, accompaniment, listening, finding one's place in a group.

This course introduces you to melodies and groove from all over Europe and beyond: traditional folk, compositions and short musical excursions...

From a traditional or contemporary repertoire, the work will be done mainly by ear, focusing on the typical phrasing of the dances.

An immersive course in the fiddle traditions of the United States, this course will focus on the left hand and right hand techniques that give Appalachian ‘Old Time’ folk music its special sound, and also explore related regional/ethnic styles including blues, ragtime, cajun and bluegrass.

Variations for couple dances make up the main theme of this course: mazurka, scottish, waltz, irregular waltzes and possibly bourrées.
We'll also learn some specific regional dances: Gascon, Breton, Basque or Bearnaise dances, as well as variations for jig and other mixers...

Welcome back Oli & Elena, this complementary duo, one bringing all his knowledge of rhythms and music theory, the other her extensive knowledge of dances and variations! They will take you on a musical-rhythmic-dance exploration of various folk dances to the sound of a live accordion.

On the program: musical listening, clapping, rhythm games, learning rhythmic variations for various dances, inventing variations and lots of time for practice and experimentation.

Welcome to musicians who want to sing, interpret, play and accompany old songs and tunes from the past. This workshop will give you the opportunity to have fun interpreting old songs, whether Bourvil, Fréhel, Fernandel or others.
