Before registering, please read this document carefully, which presents the general operation of our music courses: Informations à savoir sur cette semaine d'ateliers
Description
During this week together, we want to focus on two different but complementary areas: a deeper technical and musical understanding of the instrument through the pieces that each student brings, and an exploration of creativity through composition and improvisation.
A typical day would work like this: each student would have two individual piano lessons a day where these two aspects of music would be worked on.
There will also be a collective moment of sharing every day, with a different activity each day (impro meditation, talking circle on music, work with a physiotherapist, with a composer, four hands workshop, ballad, etc.).
All classes will be open to everyone with their consent.
In addition to instrument lessons, from Monday to Friday, each student will be able to take part in SUPPLEMENTARY WORKSHOPS aimed at discovering or deepening other repertoires and instrumental practices (improvisation, jazz combo, early music, choral singing, rhythm, harmony, contemporary music, composition, etc.). The precise titles and times of these workshops will be given to you on the 1st day of the course so that you can make your choices and plan your days.
Required level
This course is aimed at pianists who can read music and are curious to explore the piano in a different way.
Equipment required
Students who are pianists are asked to bring an electric keyboard that they can use for rehearsals (we do not have enough acoustic pianos for each student to rehearse on) or to take part in ensembles.
